It is reported that the Sri Lanka Police have initiated the procurement process to purchase 3,000 baton sticks.
It is also mentioned that tender documents have already been called for this purpose.
For a long time, there has been a shortage of baton sticks in the police department, and this purchase is being prepared to eliminate that shortage.
These baton sticks are intended to be used to disperse protesters during riot control operations.
